There are many web sites outlining how to reconfigure windows XP, Vista, and Windows 7 to allow multiple concurrent Remote Desktop Sessions, basically making a desktop PC a terminal server. On many occasions I have pointed out doing so is a licensing violation, however I confess I have never seen this specifically stated in any ELUA. I have been privy to discussions with Microsoft where this has been discussed, and Microsoft employees and support site personnel have often posted it is not permitted on various sites.

Replace termsrv.dll in c:\windows\system32\dllcacheIf you have the installation cd/dvd (i386) folder copied to your harddrive replace (use the compress command) or remove it there as wellNow rename the original file in your system32 folder and place the patched versionReboot
Terminal serves on windows 2003 server is kind of a pain in the butt, because it looks more complicated then it actually is. I got it working by just installing the services in the add windows components. Then selected the terminal services under administrative tools. Then activated the server, then installed CALS. Basically it was a hunt and peck affair. Dont give up. Tampa Computer Repair
I have the same question as abd, does the patch basically crack the concurrent connections?Cause what I am experiencing is that the server is asking to connect it to a terminal license server in the next 80 days.
1. Replace termsrv.dll in c:\windows\system32\dllcache2. If you have the installation cd/dvd (i386) folder copied to your harddrive replace (use the compress command) or remove it there as well3. Now rename the original file in your system32 folder and place the patched version4. Reboot
vpatchprompt.exe seems to read all the files, but it never generates me a new file. I tried making a random new file, and having the patcher save over that, but as soon as it does windows deletes it. I have tried in normal mode and safe mode on both my w2k3 server and my win 7 desktop.

You have to enable it before it will listen on 3389 (or whatever port you want to change that too). Remote management is enabled by default though on Server 2012 R2.. 2ff7e9595c
